Alexander Technique Canada (ATC) is a member of the Affiliated Societies (ATAS), which has 20 national member societies that uphold similar and exacting standards for the professional conduct and training of Alexander Technique teachers worldwide.
Registered Alexander Technique teachers within ATAS have completed a minimum three-year, 1600-hour training course at a certified teacher-trainer school.
ATAS representatives meet yearly to exchange ideas on how to strengthen member societies, further the Alexander Technique profession, and assist with potential new societies in their efforts to become self-governing and affiliated with ATAS.
Canada’s ATAS representative is Heather Campbell, who also is a member of the ATAS Secretariat.
