Mary Travaglini
Administrative Director
Mary Travaglini, CD, TICO, started her Human Resource career in the Canadian
Forces, where she was posted to bases across Canada. As the first female member of
three operational squadrons, she effectively built relationships in difficult environments
and helped open Squadrons to gender diversification.
After the Canadian Forces, Mary expanded her Human Resource career by taking on
increasingly-senior roles in the corporate world for companies such as Manulife
Financial, Legg Mason Canada, and Royal & SunAlliance.
During her corporate career, her desire to serve led her back to a contract with the
United Nations in the former Yugoslavia during its civil war. This experience led her to
work in non-profits such as The Healing Cycle Foundation, the Royal Institute of
Chartered Surveyors, and Katimavik among others.
In 2019, her achievements in volunteer management, governance, and not-for-profit
administration earned her recognition for this community service and volunteer work
and Mary was awarded Mississauga’s Civic Recognition Award.
Mary continues to provide consultative services to not-for-profits across Canada.
